The Floorball practice league is a lightly structured concept for allowing players to get exposure and repetition to a variety of floorball skills.

NOTE:  League tshirts are not provided for this league.

Core Skills:

  • Conditioning: Floorball games are 40 minutes of fast paced running, players need to have high levels of cardiovascular conditioning to keep up with the speed of play
  • Footwork: Speed is important, but so is being able to backpedal, side shuffle, and change direction quickly
  • Ball Control: Moving with the ball is crucial to play. Receiving and sending passes, dribbling the ball, and shooting all rely on ball control
  • Shooting: Both accuracy and power are important for a good shot. Players need to practice shooting in a variety of conditions in order to improve
  • Defensive Play: Learning to anticipate passes and work with a goalie to set up a solid defense is crucial in keeping the opposing team from scoring
